The Foundation / How does the Foundation operate?

The decision to take contemporary art directly to the city’s streets is a natural evolution
of the earlier activities of the Foundation, and of the Trussardi tradition, which has
always sought out new possibilities for the interaction between the Milan audience and
the liveliest expressions of contemporary culture.
In keeping with this legacy, the Foundation works on the creation of temporary events
to demonstrate that art can give a new identity and international visibility to the city,
entering our everyday and public existence to enrich it with unexpected languages and
experiences.
The Foundation spreads and disperses itself in the city and beyond: in each event and
publication, in its website and on every other occasion, the Foundation aims at creating
new spaces of expression for contemporary art. Anytime the Foundation exposes itself,
it aspires to open a platform for artists. The Nicola Trussardi Foundation is a bridge, a
transmission mechanism between artists and audiences.
